Confession: There are two typos in my colophon. And chances are that there is one error or one thing you wish you would have done differently on every single page in your book.
But you know what? No one could have made your book as well as you did. Obviously there will be mistakes. Every time I look at spreads that have been sent, I find mistakes and you can bet that at least 3 people read the final version before the submit button was pressed. Hate to break it to you, but nothing and no one is perfect. It’s worth striving for, but something could have always been done differently.

Last night I could barely sleep, but when my adviser and I opened the first box, we both melted with happiness. Just to see how far my staff had come from camp when we made a theme board to an actual 300 page publication was absolutely amazing.
I mean sure, I found another typo in the colophon (whoops) and some photos didn’t turn out how we anticipated, but it’s beautiful and it’s ours and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.

MCKENZIE&SPRING

MAN, it feels good to have time to be on Tumblr again. Quite honestly, I completely forgot I had a blog. Just to sum up the past couple months…

-CIS Writing papers. (MY TREND PAPER IS DONE, YAY!)

-Work.

-Florida Spring Break Trip!

-YEARBOOK. (Which is in fact done, along with Spring Supplement!)

-Confirming my enrollment to the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.

-Prom dress stress. rhyme. yay.

-Prom!

-Academic Excellence/Academic Luncheon

I’m sure I missed something, but that’s that.

Life, as of now, is so great.

I actually have enough time to read a book.

With my trend paper and the yearbook complete, my stress level has gone down to basically non-existent.

I have a nice boy in my life.

Only a couple weeks of school left.

Ryan, Noel, and the kiddies are coming for my graduation and grad party.

Can’t wait to see how the next couple weeks turn out!

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GOOD REST OF THEIR WEEK. XOXOX

Let me get this straight- I love my staff with all of my heart, but sometimes when something doesn’t go right, you’ve just got to say you’re going to kill someone, or your computer, or the pet fish. It’s not personal, it’s yearbook.

MCKENZIE&UPDATES

Woo! I have not blogged in forever. I am home sick and all I have eaten all day is Popsicles. I’d like some real food soon. Recently, my life has been nothing but BEAUTIFUL.

Things that are great:
Dad is home.
I have a nice boy in my life.
Spring break is one month away.
Yearbook (stressful, but great.)
Officially done with my first CIS writing paper.
So many others.

Also, I’m hoping for a snow day:)

MCKENZIE&MAYO

Yesterday I didn’t have the best day, I was really overwhelmed with school (especially yearbook) and I couldn’t wait for the day to be over. Then I got a call that I would have to bring my dad to mayo today. Bad timing.

After two hours of driving, here we are. Mayo may be a gorgeous hospital, but it’s still not where I want to be. After meeting with my dads surgeon for tomorrow, I can’t help but feel blue. Hearing lists of risks, and tools they will need scares me. So does the length of time the surgery takes. All I can do is sit in this big red chair and stare out the window thinking of the worst things that could happen.

I don’t want to be here anymore.

MCKENZIE&THE END OF QTR 3

Calc grade…up.

Economics Test…done.

Physics Test…killed.

Yearbook… Not there yet.

3/4 Done with the last day of the quarter.

That means almost 1/2 done with my Senior year. It’s crazy how fast the time goes by. So far, it has been a year to remember! I’m ready to continue this year, and tackle anything it throws at me!
